Cardinal Estates is located on the western edge of Sauk City, just a short distance to downtown. The first set of homes were built in 2005 and continuing through 2025. Owners were allowed to bring their own builder so there are many different styles of homes here.

Cardinal Estates is a short distance to downtown Sauk City where there are numerous shops and restaurants to explore. The Wisconsin River is adjacent to downtown, and there are many green spaces along the riverfront where you can appreciate the dynamic landscape. Culver Community Park is a brand new community park with many amenities that will be located right across the street from the neighborhood. The park will eventually include a bike track, sledding hill, sport courts and fields, event garden, dog exercise area, batting cages and much more. Junge Park and Florence Park are also nearby. The community is a short distance from many regional favorites, including Wollersheim Winery and Devil’s Lake State Park. Commuting to the Madison area is a breeze on Highway 12.
Homes in Cardinal Estates are zoned to the Sauk Prairie School District. Students attend Bridges Elementary, Sauk Prairie Middle School, or Sauk Prairie High School.
