It has been almost two years since the team at Mad City Dream Homes helped us both buy a condo in downtown Madison and sell our home which was in a rural area in Iowa County. They even facilitated a same day closing for both transactions. We would absolutely look to the team at Mad City should we decide to sell our Madison condo.

Across the board, the teamwork by Mad City Dream Homes supported both the buying and selling processes and was critical to its success. It was done efficiently and effectively for both transactions. As many know, the process of selling and buying a home in short order can be both emotionally and physically draining. The whole team were with us during all steps of that journey.

Dan set up the marketing plan for the selling of our home in the country which had some unique features. This involved high quality photos of our house and drone views of the property. Debbie came and made staging suggestions. Tammy, meanwhile, was showing us various properties in Madison at times that always worked with our work schedules. Chris assisted in the financial arrangements, including drafts of the various paperwork for all the transactions, and Shelly closed the sale of our home with the buyer using excellent negotiating skills. They all did this while being pleasant and professional at every step of the way.

We believe wholeheartedly in the Margaret Mead saying: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world; indeed it is the only thing that ever has.” While this refers to social justice work, it also seems to be part of the mission of what teamwork at Mad City Dream Homes  tries to do for people when they are in stressful situations with the process of buying and selling homes. I would like to give Max Woods high marks for the outstanding job he did helping us buy and close on our condominium this fall.  He was very responsive to our questions and requests as we sought to act very quickly in bidding on  the property. He kept us informed during the fast moving bidding process, and advised us on the possible options we could consider.  After we signed the contract he continued to answer questions and provided video of the property. Just a quick note to say THANK YOU to Maureen Moran for her assistance with selling and purchasing my two properties.  From the very beginning, she was extremely helpful and responsive regarding every inquiry I had.  She went above and beyond to accommodate my request to have another walk-through through the property, find out the Board requirements for hard floor installation, or to ping my lender regarding the loan commitment.

Maureen arranged an outstanding staging for my condo, which resulted in such high offers that I didn’t think they were real.  Furthermore, she conducted her own appraisal on my condo to convince me that the highest offer with the contingency appraisal was worth accepting.  I have to admit, I was very skeptical that my condo would ever sell for that price.  But in the end, Maureen was right, it did! The video was outstanding. His negotiations and advice were spot on. He was also quite good in anticipating a potential series of events and planning for that with the right documents being prepared ahead of time.  I gained new respect for Dan prior to the listing when I explained that I had been stalked by a couple of buyers prior to the listing contract. While I was reluctant to show the house, he was very understanding and encouraged me to do just that. We actually learned a lot from those experiences. As I have told others, a good realtor earns their commission.
