"Chris skillfully took us though making a solid offer and she and her team also walked us through the home purchase and closing process. We were so thankful to have her representing us; we trusted her. We highly recommend Chris." -- Jim and Deb

"Dan was there when we needed him most. Dan was an advocate for us even before we fully realized we needed an advocate. He even stayed in touch after the closing on our home." -- Chris and Morgan
"Max is a good listener, skilled and responsive communicator, knowledgeable negotiator, resourceful problem solver and just a lot of fun! He prioritized our satisfaction over making the sale, seeking expert advice on upgrades and issues to help us with the final contract negotiations. All of these characteristics made working with Max a uniquely positive and memorable experience." -- Sue and Jim
"Amanda was proactive, responsive and friendly throughout the process. She provided pointed guidance and direct answers to questions. She had strong recommendations for every individual involved in the process, who all served our house hunt well. Amanda also provided coaching on offers that made us competitive." -- Dan
"We really wanted a single family home with a yard, but we had a very limited budget. We were beginning to think that only a condo would be within our reach, but with Isabella's expert negotiating skills and responsiveness we were able to buy a small house in our preferred Madison neighborhood without breaking the bank." -- Nicole
"Austin went on multiple showings with me over 72 hour period in sub-zero temperatures and icy roads. We were able to find and close on a house that I liked within a week and was able to negotiate the house below listing price. As a first-time buyer Austin made me feel very confident and I didn't feel pressured into liking any house that I wasn't comfortable with." -- Andrew
"She is like a good friend and advocate who will help you consider all aspects of purchasing a property, including the condition of the property, location, lifestyle, etc. She is also highly responsive and a great negotiator, both of which are absolutely essential, especially in this hot market. I would 110% recommend working with Jennifer!!" -- Nikki
"Our 'bid' for our new home was accepted within two weeks of our first contact with Shelley! She skillfully guided us through the negotiation process, with an outcome that was pleasing to both buyer and seller. An added bonus: Shelley’s joyful personality made the stressful situation downright fun." -- Marlene and Paul
"Max and Ann were fantastic to work with. We bought a house and the seller’s real estate agent explicitly said a key determining factor was how responsive our realtors were during the negotiation process (the sellers felt the closing process would go smoothly since we had responsive realtors)." -- Savannah
Home buyer negotiation - FAQs and tips
- How can you help me avoid overpaying for my home? When you work with Mad City Dream Homes, we’ll make sure you become an expert in your target market and that you are familiar with the broader market trends. When it is time to write an offer on your dream home, we’ll effectively communicate with the listing agent in order to better understand the dynamics of the sale. We’ll know whether or not any other offers are expected, and if so, how many. Knowing your market and the dynamics of the sale will help us select the right price in your offer to purchase.
- How can you make my offer stand out in a competitive market? Very often the winning offer isn’t the highest-priced offer. We can make your offer appeal to the seller by using a number of other strategies that have nothing to do with price. For more information, please contact us.
- What are the keys to successfully negotiating the home inspection? Very often a successful negotiation is all about being professional, persistent, patient and creative as we work through the negotiation with the other party. This blog article offers some tips from our agent team.
