All About Sauk City, WI

The village of Sauk City offers a good variety of outdoor entertainment options. The Wisconsin River flows through town, and provides the perfect place for kayaking, canoeing and fishing. Just north of town is Devil's Lake State Park, a 10,000 acre park that includes a large lake, hiking and biking trails and campsites. Bird watchers enjoy Sauk City in the winter. The village's power plant keeps a portion of the river open year round, attracting eagles to feed on the fish below. 

Sauk City also provides a unique variety of shops and restaurants. Wollersheim Winery and Distillery is in nearby Prairie du Sac, and offers tastings and tours. The downtown area includes the Blue Spoon Cafe. This Culver's owned restaurant features a sit-down menu, complete with frozen custard and a wine bar. Additional shops and restaurants line the Wisconsin River, and offer a scenic view, and a pleasant place for a stroll.
