More about the Village of Belleville, Wisconsin

Belleville’s history begins in the mid 1800s, and the original public grounds are on the National Register of Historic Places. More recently, an active arts community provides music at Belleville Library Park during the summer, and a variety of theater productions. For the outdoor enthusiast, Lake Belle View and the Sugar River provide opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and more. A variety of hiking and biking trails add to the outdoor feel of the village. The Badger State Trail (part of Ice Age Trail) runs through the area, and connects to a river walk built in 2014, leading to downtown Belleville. The annual Belleville Lake Fest celebrates the restoration of Lake Belle View and provides activities for the whole family.
