An undeniable, small town vibe permeates the village of Oregon, just 7 miles from Madison. Oregon celebrates its small town roots each year at the Kiser park and carnival grounds, home to the village Summer Fest. The annual fair features a midway carnival, a softball tournament, dunk tank, tug of war, brat stand, a parade of bands - as well as a classic, car, truck, and bike show.

Oregon parks and green spaces are plentiful; local facilities include Lerner Conservation, Jaycee, Kiser, Bethel Greenacre, Scott Street, Thomson, and Town parks.

Oregon has its own school district which serves families in Fitchburg in addition to the residents of Oregon. Public schools include Brooklyn, Netherwood Knoll, and Prairie View Elementary – serving grades K through 4. Rome Corners Intermediate School serves the 5th and 6th grades, while Oregon Middle School serves grades 7 and 8. The high school, located on Perry Parkway, serves grades 9 through 12.

The real estate in Oregon offers a view of this Wisconsin village’s history. Main, Lincoln, Janesville, and Jefferson streets are home to a number of historic buildings and houses, several of which are on the National Register of Historic Places. Oregon also features affordable real estate in a number of different neighborhoods. Netherwood Heights is an established neighborhood with homes starting at around $175,000. The Windcrest subdivision offers newer construction with homes starting at about $250,000. The Alpine Meadows subdivision is another newer neighborhood where the homes begin at about $275,000. Golf course and luxury real estate is plentiful in Oregon. The Bergamont golf course community offers high end and luxury real estate, where many of the homes are priced over $500,000.

Oregon, WI also features a wide variety of condos.
