The Southwest Side is home to the iconic Elver Park, one of Madison’s largest parks and host of the popular Elver Park Fourth of July Fireworks celebration. Other parks on the Southwest Side include Prairie Ridge Park, Huegel Park, and Country Grove Park.
Chavez Elementary is one of Madison’s newest schools, serving the residents in the newer neighborhoods to the south. McKee Road, a thoroughfare dotted with shops and restaurants, offers convenient access to Verona Road and the beltline.
