Veridian builders designed the Village at Autumn Lake with outdoor living in mind. Many lots are set right on the lake, which will be available for canoeing, paddle boarding, and other non-motorized enjoyment. The lake sits on the northern side of the neighborhood. A park and proposed school site are to the east. A dog park, playground, sledding hill, and walking trails are scattered throughout.

Lakeside lots are planned, but the current construction is taking place along the southern edge of the community. Although the neighborhood has a Madison address, residents participate in the Sun Prairie Area School District. An elementary school site is planned along the eastern edge of the neighborhood.
