The Sherman neighborhood dates back to the late 1930s. It is possible to find cozy 1 and 2 bedroom homes, with opportunities for upgrades. Within this neighborhood there is also newer construction, even as recently as the mid 2000s. Most Sherman homes fall between 1,200 and 1,600 square feet of living space, although there are exceptions on either end of the spectrum. Ranch home are most common, but you can also find Cape Cod, bungalow and other two-story options, offering anywhere from 2-4 bedrooms. The neighborhood is within walking distance of Warner Park, a large, Madison park that includes a community recreation center, playgrounds, ball fields, and is home to the Madison Mallards baseball team.
