The southwest side of Madison is bounded by Verona Road on the east to High Point Road on the west and from the beltline on the north to Cross Country Road on the south. Its proximity to Verona Road and the Beltline makes the southwest side an easy commute to and from any part of the city.

The southwest side is home to the iconic Elver Park, one of Madison’s largest parks and host of the popular Elver Park Fourth of July Fireworks celebration. Other parks on the southwest side include Prairie Ridge Park, Huegel Park, and Country Grove Park.

Chavez Elementary is one of Madison’s newest schools, serving the residents in the newer neighborhoods to the south. McKee Road, a thoroughfare dotted with shops and restaurants, offers convenient access to Verona Road and the Beltline.
