This small neighborhood is tucked away in the heart of Madison's east side. Most homes in this neighborhood were built in the 1970s and 1980s, typically ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 square feet. This part of the town also features a wide selection of multifamily and apartment real estate. A large portion of the neighborhood is comprised of parks and green space.
Hiestand Park is a 46 acre park located on the western edge of the neighborhood. This park is popular with disc golfers year round. It also offers soccer fields, a bike path, two sledding hills, and a shelter that can be reserved for private events. Hiestand Woods Conservation Park is a 12 acre park with walking trails that wind their way through areas of large red oaks. Honeysuckle Park is a smaller park located near the center of the neighborhood at 280 North Thompson Drive.
