The Grandview Commons real estate market is located between Milwaukee Street and Cottage Grove Road to the north and south, and between Sprecher Road and Interstate 90 to the east and west. Homes began being construction in the early 2000s. This larger east side neighborhood features a great selection of energy-efficient and green-built homes situated among pockets of shared green space. Most properties in Grandview Commons come with 1,500 to 2,500 square feet of living space, 3 to 4 bedrooms, and a two-car garage. Many houses also incorporate the old-fashioned front porch into their design. The neighborhood's popularity has fueled growth, especially with the addition of Grandview Commons North.
North Star Park is the centerpiece of the Grandview Commons neighborhood. This spacious, 20-acre park features a network of prairie spaces and an expansive playground area. Other smaller parks in the area include McClellan Park and the aptly named, Pocket Park. In Grandview Commons you can walk to the Great Dane Brew Pub located at 876 Jupiter Drive. This is a very commuter-friendly neighborhood. It offers direct access to Milwaukee Street, Cottage Grove Road, and the interstate - so getting into and out of Madison is easy from this east side location.
Grandview Commons homeowners participate in the McClellan Park Neighborhood Association, one of the more active community groups on the east side. The association also serves the residents in the smaller Covered Bridge, Birchwood Ridge, Rustic Acres, and Jubilee subdivisions.
