Mad City Dream Homes Real Estate CareersOur real estate team is moving in a great direction. Every agent on the team is growing their business and receiving awesome client feedback. Now we're rolling out a plan that builds on this momentum and ensures a prosperous career for everyone on the team. The plan helps each new agent get off to a successful start, enjoy a great career, and even fund their retirement. Below is the road map for our team going forward.

Invest in the Team

Each month we invest $2,500 into our website to improve our brand and marketing. This long-term focus is paying off. New traffic from Google is up 19% from last year and 49% from the year before. Our site is receiving a ton of great feedback. Each year it's attracting dozens of great clients who are happy to work with us.

Mad City Dream Homes is different from most other real estate websites. We own it, and all of the content on it is original. Also, we don't use it to force registration. All of the people who contact us from our site do so voluntarily after they have checked us out outline and developed a sense of trust.

Beyond our website, we're investing in a number of other projects. Joe Molloy and Laura Kocum are two very skilled people who oversee our day-to-day marketing. Just as important, they're always working on longer term projects that will pay dividends down the road.

Invest in Each Agent

We're investing in coaching and training. We've hired a real estate coach, and all of us on the team are participating in weekly training. We're learning and implementing new ideas every week.

We also do everything we can to help each agent establish a strong personal brand and online presence. This includes profiles and client reviews on our website, Trulia, Zillow, Realtor.com, and various social media platforms.

Another way we invest in our agents is by helping each agent develop an individualized prospecting plan. A key part of this is the creation of a contact "database". We help each agent grow and stay in touch with their database so it becomes a constant source of referrals throughout and even beyond their career (keep reading below).

Hire One or Two Great Agents Each Year

We'll add one or two new agents to our team each year. Each new agent we bring on board will be hard-working, ethical, customer-focused, and a team player. Prior experience can be a plus, but it's not a requirement. Attitude, customer service, and teamwork skills are most important. We'll continue to be selective with who we bring on the team, while doing our best to maintain zero turnover.

Each new agent will hit the ground running with clients that are provided by the team. They'll also work on their daily prospecting plan which will help them grow their business quickly. We expect each agent to earn $100,000 and have at least 30 successful closings in their first full year on the team. If they haven't already done so, they'll hire an accountant and financial planner to help them make the most of their real estate earnings.

Offer Growth Opportunities

Everyone on the team will have opportunities to grow. For example, if a buyer agent wishes to work with sellers, we'll work with the agent to make that happen. As the team continues to grow, other administrative and management opportunities will become available. Growth will always be an option on our team.

Grow a Professional, Cohesive Team

We have well-rounded agents who are able to capably guide buyers and sellers to their end goals. There is also a high amount of trust between team members. We support each other and each other's clients as workloads ebb and flow. When our agents take a vacation they know their clients are being well-cared for by the rest of the team.

Fund Retirement

As each agent nears retirement their book of business will include hundreds of friends, family members and former clients. We'll continue to market to their database on their behalf into their retirement years. During their retirement, the agent will receive a referral fee for every one of their referrals that closes with the team. Best of all the agent will be referring to a team of agents that they know and trust. This is good for all involved - the client, the team, and the retired agent.

By growing and nurturing a book of business today, each agent is working to fund their retirement tomorrow.

We're hiring the next agent to join our real estate team. Here are 10 great reasons why you should consider joining our team in 2017.
