MCDH Marketing Team

I walked into the Mad City Dream Homes team office recently and found their marketing team gathered around a table, working on a new way to feature nonprofits and give back to the community.

“We have the freedom to experiment here, and to do good for the community, without having to justify every project to a specific budget,” said Samantha Haas, marketing writer for the team.

“We love doing these types of projects. When you do something because it feels right, it eventually comes back around,” added Dan Miller, a Realtor and leader for the team.

The Mad City Dream Homes team includes several realtors, but many clients don’t realize that there is also a robust team of skilled marketers who are focused on promoting listings, community outreach, and providing quality information about the Madison area to potential buyers and sellers.

“We all share a lot of the same skill sets, and we’re all on call,” says Samantha. “But we all work together so well” adds Joe Molloy, marketing and business relations for the team.

The team spends their time documenting the many things that make the Dane County area appealing to buyers and sellers. Tracy Kapela, a photographer for the team, has photographed dozens of local parks and neighborhoods this summer. “I want to get photos while everything is at its best -- with blue skies and fresh plants. I’ll spend the fall and winter season documenting each of these photos in our archive and making them available anytime we have a listing that fits the area,” she said.

Samantha has been busy writing about the parks in the area, focusing on their unique features and beauty. She has also been writing community profiles, speaking with leaders in area towns to help paint a clearer picture of the area.

“I really enjoy diving deep into the different communities. There are so many cool stories to tell, and they help newcomers understand what draws people to different areas,” she said.

Joe has been working on client appreciation events, and on a newsletter that reaches more than 1,000 readers each month. “I want to provide a good mix of real estate news, along with some of the community features that really remind people how good we have it in the Madison area,” he said.

The team discussed the number of beautiful, defined neighborhoods in the Madison area, and the perks of the different walking trails and natural spaces that make Dane County a special place. Each one loves Madison and enjoys helping clients (and future clients) learn more about the city and the real estate opportunities here.

It’s somewhat unique for a real estate group to have a dedicated marketing team that isn’t focused solely on the buying and selling of homes. “Our team’s work benefits the real estate side both directly and indirectly,” said Dan. The team's efforts have played a large role in the robust Mad City Dream Homes website. The site has feature pages for hundreds of neighborhoods and dozens of local communities. “Our library of photos and profiles are also available to complement our team's listings. It’s nice to have those resources on site and ready to go,” he said.

The marketing team is a perfect example of the Mad City Dream Homes team’s overall focus: to provide excellent service to each potential client, and serve the community along the way.
