Are you looking for a home in an established neighborhood, but can’t seem to find any options? We rounded up a selection of established neighborhoods that consistently have a good amount of inventory available. From communities with historic bungalows to houses in growing neighborhoods with a wide variety of inventory, these neighborhoods have options for many types of buyers. Birchwood Point - Located on the far west side of Madison, Birchwood Point is near shops and dining in Madison and Middleton. The neighborhood also boasts plenty of green space and parks. The community has been around since 2014 and still has new construction homes available. There are ranch-style, colonial, and craftsman style homes in this growing, yet established community.  

Cathedral Point - This Verona community has several neighborhood parks and is within walking distance to the elementary school. Cathedral Point has been around since 2010, and there are homes at a variety of price points. Most homes are two-story, but there are a few ranch homes in this neighborhood as well. The location is convenient for commuters with easy access to 151. 

Findlay Park - Most homes in Findlay Park on the near west side were built before the 1950’s and are full of charm and character. The bungalows and cape cod style homes in this neighborhood typically have two to three bedrooms. This community is in a great location near UW Hospital and is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants.

Grandview Commons and Grandview Commons North - Grandview Commons is a large neighborhood on the east side of Madison. Homes started to be built here in the early 2000’s, and there are still new construction homes available today. There is a wide range of homes available, making it appealing to many types of buyers. The neighborhood is walking distance to a grocery store, restaurants, and shops. Parks and walking trails make it easy to get out and enjoy the outdoors. 

Sherman - Homes in the north-side's Sherman neighborhood are cozy and full of charm. Most homes in the community were built between 1940 and 1960. You’ll find plenty of ranch-style homes in the Sherman neighborhood, although you can also find bungalows and cape cod homes. This community is known for having more affordable homes that are great for first time homebuyers or those looking to downsize.

Heritage Heights - This community is located on the east side of Madison and has many types of homes available. Heritage Heights was established in the 1960s, and has two large parks and a conservancy space. Homes in this community boast larger lots and mature trees and landscaping. This tight knit neighborhood has many community-focused events and gatherings throughout the year, making it a great area to call home. 

Ridgewood - The Ridgewood neighborhood is a quiet community in a convenient location near East Towne Mall. Homes in this community usually have three to four bedrooms and were built in the mid to late 1990’s. There is a good mix between ranch-style and two-story homes. The neighborhood is home to Sycamore Park, which is a great large space to unwind and enjoy the outdoors. 

Smith’s Crossing - This community has been around since 2001 and still has new construction homes available. There is a wide variety of home types available, including duplexes, carriage style homes, and large ranch and two-story homes. Smith’s Crossing has multiple parks and several walking trails that make it easy to get around the community and enjoy the outdoors. The neighborhood is home to the Northeast YMCA and is a short drive to the Prairie Lakes Shopping area on the growing west side of Sun Prairie.
