Moving Forward helps seniors and their families plan, coordinate, and organize every detail of their move for a smooth and easy transition.

Marianne Gariti, owner of Moving Forward, and her team of senior move managers take the time to learn about their clients and find creative ways to help them maintain their cherished memories while downsizing. Since starting the company in 2014, Marianne and her team have facilitated over 800 moves for seniors.

Working with Moving Forward can help buyers shorten the time until they can take possession of their new home. They can help sellers get their property ready for the market faster which leads to a quicker sale, freeing up funds for the senior’s next chapter.

The senior move managers at Moving Forward guide their clients through the entire process of moving. The first step is working with the senior to identify the items they would like to keep. Then, they work through the layout at their new place and determine how everything can fit. They help with selling and donating items, pack and unpack items, and help them settle them into their new place. They even make the bed for the senior before leaving on move-in day! After move-out, they return to the old home and help with deep cleaning and getting the property ready for the realtor to list.

Moving Forward works with clients with all types of budgets. They offer a free consultation for new clients. They’ll come to the client’s home and develop an extensive plan and quote for their services.

“We find that our clients are ready to let go of their family home, but the process seems so overwhelming that they are unable to take the first step,” says Marianne Gariti, owner of Moving Forward. “We’re really proud to reduce our client’s stress and help them transition into their new chapter in life. Our clients love the fact that we always say yes to anything they need. I am blessed to have an amazing staff!”

Their client lived about 2,000 miles away and needed their home on the market in the spring of 2019. The home was 5,000 square feet and was packed to the brim. Moving Forward sent thousands of items to their network of buyers, which brought in a good amount of money for their client. The staff shipped items around the country and sold or donated items.

Then they readied the home for sale by deep cleaning, painting, removing the carpet, and much more. During the move-out process, the team discovered a sum of forgotten cash in the refrigerator and were able to return it to the homeowner. The entire family was grateful for the huge amount of work Moving Forward did, and the respect the entire team showed. The home sold in just one month!

Ann Raschien, a Realtor with Mad City Dream Homes, recently worked with a client in another state who was helping a family member move. "My client was very overwhelmed and concerned about how to get a home ready for sale from so far away. Moving Forward stepped in and in days had the house ready for sale. Marianne and her team provided top-notch service during a stressful and emotional time," said Ann.

Moving Forward is part of the Association of Senior Move Managers. They are only one of two companies in Wisconsin that holds an A+ accreditation with NASMM.org. Their network of senior move managers allows them to connect with other move managers around the country. These connections are helpful when clients need to move a distance to be closer to their family.
