This weekend (March 3-4), the Madison Kids Expo is offering a perfect opportunity to enjoy family fun and burn off some steam. The event is organized by Brava Magazine and takes place at the Alliant Energy Center on Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Bring the little ones, and expect lots of hands-on exhibits, open play areas, demonstrations by dancers and karate teams, face painting and more.

Kids Expo in MadisonThe Kids Expo has several purposes:

  •  It's Affordable Fun: The admission fee gives you access to the full expo, and most events are at no additional cost. This is your chance to try out a wide range of activities, and see what your child enjoys the most. Options like laser tag, mazes, bounce houses, craft projects, and animal demonstrations are sure to please.  There are a few select booths with additional fees.

  • It Exposes You to Kid Friendly Places: Vendors specialize in kid-friendly activities. Meet leaders from dance, karate, art and music programs, doctors, dentists and more. Learn more about the fun activities available year-round in Madison, and "try out" some of the opportunities before you commit to a full day (or camp).

  • It Provides a Venue to Make Summer Plans: If you're a family seeking summer camp opportunities, there will be plenty of ideas shared at Kids Expo. Vendors include schools, daycares, summer camp providers, summer sports clinics and will help you identify the best options for your child.

  • It Allows Vendors to Show the Best Resources for Kids: Whether it's safety products, health and wellness resources, or equipment made for fun, vendors can show you a wide variety of options designed to meet your family's needs.

Admission at the door is $8 for adults and $5 for kids. Buy tickets early and pay $5 for adults and $3 for kids (2 and under are free). Organizers suggest bringing socks for all kids, and printing and filling out waivers in advance, if kids will be using bounce houses, climbing walls, etc.  Alliant Energy Center will also charge a $7 fee for parking.

Don't miss this opportunity to get out of the house, and enjoy activities geared for younger audiences at the Madison Kids Expo!
