Madison area home and condo supply continues to improve as we head into the heart of the fall season. Here's our quick October update:
Single family homes
As of October 5th, a total of 740 Dane County single family homes were available for sale (without an accepted offer) on the MLS. Home supply is up 25% from the same time last year.
Condos
A total of 232 Dane County condominiums were available for sale on October 5th, up 86% from the same time last year.
The big picture
Improving supply is creating more opportunities for buyers, as more sellers are learning that they need to adjust their pricing in order to attract the right offer. The bottom line? This fall is an excellent time to be shopping for real estate, for anyone who's seeking to avoid the chaos and competition of the spring market.
