We recently had the pleasure of attending a talk about the importance of mindset, led by our colleague, Tony Tucci. During his talk, Tony shared the 3 core values that guide his mindset and approach to real estate. Here's a quick overview of Tony's 3 guiding values.
Lead with a heart of abundance.
When we genuinely believe that there is enough prosperity available for everyone, we will live more generously, while training our mind to see and pursue opportunity. Gratitude is essential for an abundant mindset. If we are truly thankful for what we already have, we will find the opportunities we are looking for.
Work collaboratively.
In the words of Tony, "diplomacy and humility matter". When we are humble and put our egos aside, we uncover win-win solutions that benefit all parties. Practiced over the long run, a collaborative mindset creates more opportunity for everyone.
Be proactive.
We need to bring our own initiative to our careers and be willing to do the work that's required of us. One helpful approach is to focus on our strengths, instead of trying to improve our weaknesses. We can make real progress toward our goals when we lean into our unique gifts and talents and make these the foundation of our day-to-day work.
One more thought
Who we associate with can have a huge influence on our daily mindset and our long-term approach to our work, so it's important that we find and affiliate with the people who share our values. When we surround ourselves with the right role models, we give ourselves the support system we need to enjoy a long and fruitful career.
