More about Idlewild Real Estate

The Idlewild subdivision encompass an area between Siggelkow Road to the north, and Bremer Road to the south. The network of streets branch out from the Lake Waubesa shore, and give many properties at least a lake view from their front yard. A short walk leads to McDaniel Park, a pedestrian only entrance to the lake, that also includes a large playground, 7 acres of conservation space, a picnic shelter, volleyball court and hiking trails. Nearby, on the east side, is Brandt Park, which offers two large, lit softball fields, a modular playground, basketball court and picnic shelters. Homes in the Idlewild subdivision are typically built before the mid 1950s, and offer primarily one level of living. One car garages are common, although many properties include paved areas for boats and additional vehicles. Lake front homes offer many more amenities, two stories, and often are newer or updated construction. Real estate sells for less $200,000 when homes are not lakefront. The lake front homes begin listing around $300,000 with many selling for much more.
