Neighborhood Amenities

Eastmorland properties offer a prime near east side location with excellent access to the many locally-operated shops, restaurants, and entertainment options on Atwood Avenue. The Atwood Avenue corridor also features Olbrich Park and the Olbrich Botanical Gardens, two of Madison's most popular outdoor destinations. (Eastmorland Park, Ontario Park, and O.B. Sherry Park are also located within the boundaries of the neighborhood.) The Capital City State Trail bicycle route runs through the neighborhood, connecting Eastmorland to many miles of trail throughout the city. This community's proximity to Stoughton Road, Highway 30, and Cottage Grove Road allows for a quick commute to the interstate and many other parts of Madison.

Eastmorland Schools

Another benefit of this location is the proximity of the local schools. Both Schenk Elementary and Whitehorse Middle School are located within the neighborhood, at 230 Schenk Street and 218 Schenk Street, respectively. Eastmorland homes are also zoned to LaFollette High School, located at 702 Pflaum Road.

Eastmorland Neighborhood Association

The Eastmorland Community Association (ECA) is one of many strong neighborhood groups on the near east side of Madison. This very active organization sponsors many community-oriented events throughout the year, including an Earth Day park clean-up and plant and seed swap in the spring; neighborhood "meet and greets" and a garage sale in the summer; and a volunteer leaf-raking event in the fall.
